More guns than sense.

These are some designes for a selection of guns that Colt uses. I wanted to get these done as I feel it adds to a characters depth in design when you know what their going to be holding and wearing. I'm going to work on Kinn's Medi-pack and two pistols next. These were recently updated but I'll probably look at them in a month and descide to do it again.

The Underdog

Drawing this and some other props was a nice change
of pace. I'm forever drawing characters for whatever
reason and lately I've been drawing the Steel Nightmare
comic so it was nice to draw some props and vehicles
for a little while instead.

Oliver Twist

I was asked to create the concept art for a full length animated version of Oliver Twist and some of the co-characters. It was difficult to avoid falling into the habbit of using too much detail as this project was unlike the low-budget cartoons I had previously designed. I needed to be mindful of the software that would be used to animate these characters, their textures and how "animator friendly" they would be.

Herman the Hamster

Simon was an awkward young boy who found it hard to fit in. He was bullied in school and no one seemed to understand him. While sitting in his room alone Simon witnessed a falling star crash to earth. Finding the remains of the falling star Simon found that it was no meteor or asteroid but the remains of a space ship. The super hero Herman the Hamster had come to Earth from accross the galaxy to track down and stop the evil menace that threatened it and Simon had made a new friend.

Steel Nightmare

On the verge of a second war of the world the two capital countries Amicka and Sol are held apart by a new born faith in religion and the poverty that the world has suffered since the last world war.

In the midst of the anger and national socialism, brewing from the wounded peoples of the world, the former hero now turned mercenary and pariah, Colt, is earning dirty money through soldiering for the highest bidder. Colt has turned his back on all humanity, including his own. He has been torn apart by war. He has nothing to lose and more blood on his hands than any other living man. Now Colt has been hired to subdue the unknown and in-human force that has been attacking the mobile city, and only sanctuary between the two peoples of Amicka and Sol, Asguard. Having joined forces with the cut-off, young medic and acting captain of the elite 602nd, Kinn Ethni the Arcan, he must uncover the origin of this mysterious onslaught.

With all the world against them Colt and Kinn fight to stay alive and overcome the impossible odds that face them in the haunted city. The tired and broken soldier.The young, compationate medic. The end of the world.

Steel Nightmare

Steel Nightmare is an idea that I came up with in the first year of university. The world of cinema and comic was going through a faze where the endings were always soppy and the anti-heroes where all just regular heroes with a gruff voice. I wanted to create a character that was just a villain fighting on the right side which is when I came up with Colt.
